  1. You know there’s one asshole out there who is cellaring that IPA precisely because one shouldn’t, and will attempt to sell it several years down the line.

    1. I’ve made the mistake of leaving an IPA or DIPA in the beer fridge for far too long. Usually it’s because I buy a six-pack, drink the bulk of it, and then continue buying more beer while the lone holdout gets pushed farther and farther back in the ol’ beer fridge.

      Very rarely, a months-old IPA or DIPA will taste decent. But 99% of the time they taste like wet failure. I have learned to ALWAYS check the bottling date on all hop-forward brews. Wholesalers and retailers just aren’t good about turning over old stock.
