  1. The Illinois stuff is way too complicated, it hurts my head to even think about it. The Illinois Craft Brewer’s Guild is actually OPPOSING the legislation right now as currently written, because they’re arguing that 7,500 barrels is not enough to be allowed to self-distribute. That number had been edited down from like 50,000 barrels. So right now, not even the people who were initially behind the legislation support it.

It makes you want to smash your head on a wall.

  2. It makes me want to drink a good beer, like a Goose Island….
    Aw, fuck.

  3. Kid, I expect a comprehensive piece on this situation once something, anything gets resolved.

Also before anybody says anything, I know that Brewdog is Scottish.

  4. Good call on all of Alabama being ‘economically distressed’–EXCEPT for Mountain Brook. That made me laugh. It’s so very true. I know this because I grew up in Gadsden.

Thanks for podcasting and fighting the good fight. It makes work less boring. Maybe some day we can go a Sweetwater, Terrapin or Jailhouse tour.
